I have lovely memories of a kind humorous gentle man with a love for life. John had a gift for opening conversations with strangers and making them feel important and listened too. We shared an office at Langdon hospital for a while and i remember John conducting a service for a young man that had recently died it was very moving. We use to meet up occasionally for coffee and definitely cake, with a short walk. We would talk for ages mostly politics with a sprinkling of religion. I will miss our walks and chats, I am so pleased to have met such a special man like John and i will remember him with love. David
